how are you backwoods?

The redneck post got me to thinking how are you backwoods. Personally we do not have cable or sat.  Just a few movies and that is it everyone thinks we are nutts but I have enough of other stuff to do with out sitting in front of the tube watching something worthless.

We eat hog meat more than anything else. Rarely have to buy meat from the store.  Not sure that is back woods but I like knowing we live off the land at least in some ways.

Damn I dont have cable, Sat, and my neighbor lets me use his Wireless internet, no  "smart cell phone" or a home phone.  Guess i am "backwoods"  Just im too poor to live in the country so im stuck in the city.

we have a t.v. ... but i couldn't tell you the last time i seen that sucker on .... growin up i wasn't aloud inside unless it was storming or dark an then i got a coondog so i was only inside long enough to shower sleep an eat an then it was hog huntin in the mornin an coonhuntin at night that good old days before i had to worry about a job hahaha

Well I live in the country but got satellite ole lady had to have it. We have 2 TV's ole lady had to have em can't really remember when I actually watched it. People at work call me caveknuckle on account of bout 5 years I was riding bulls and got my toe smashed and broke and now it dnt look to putty that's the knuckle part the cave part came from me not knowing who Mr. Rogers was and never seeing star wars or mad Max or a lot of other movies and TV shows. So they asked me if I was raised in a cave. Then my team lead thought of caveknuckle. Plus got 2 year old daughter that has a plastic swimming pool one night she wanted to go swimming so I throwed it off in the kitchen and let her swim we eat lot of hog and deer and try to get most of my veggies out the garden. I don't know if that's backwoods.

i hate buying meat. Their is way to much "free" meat running around the woods for me to buy processed meat. we live off of hogs, deer, ducks, squirrels, and calves we feed out. We get are vegetables out of a garden in my front yard and we can everything from pickles to preserves. we even make homemade laundry soap by the five gallon bucket. (i can give yall the recipe for it). we are fairly sofisticated also. i have satellite tv, a laptop, and a smartphone. i was raised backwoods in the swamps of Louisiana and i choose to raise my family the same way. its just simple.
