I'm sure everyone knows by now how freakin' hot it is. At 10"30 tonight here in western oklahoma it was still 98 degrees and gusts as high as 40. It's just been plane freakin' miserable. Miserable enuff I don't feel like huntin' much and dang sure don't want a dog over heating with lows in high 80's and more freakin' wind. So I've finally got around to do some well needed tuning up on the 2 deer running dogs I have.

Thought I was gonna have a nice relaxing day just hangin' in the house out of the heat and looked out and had all my dogs in different pens. Had one that crossed over 2 pens and a gyp got in with my bulldog and my bulldog on a chain had porcupine quills just a few in his lower lip. So I'm thinking who the crap came over and borrowed my dogs last night LOL. So I went and got some paneling and cut them down and filled up all the holes they've been digging trying to stay cool so they can't pen cross anymore. Then I'll be danged if I didn't see a porcupine cruising down the fence line I guess he came up to check out the dogs and slapped my bulldog. Finally got everything cleaned up and patched back up. Grabbed my hound that will tree a porcupine any givin' day and can't even get her to run this track. Took her out and put her on trash and lit her up then came back and did the same thing with one of my other dogs that I thought was trash broke. Now I'm finally getting to my relaxing until the morning comes I guess.

Finally got me a new job and I don't have to drive 50 miles a day. It's only 4.5 miles from the house and I get to come home for lunch so I ain't eating out all the time and will finally get around to fine tuning some dogs until this heat breaks. and hopefully one of these days I'll get to start on some pups of a late evening.

Just had to let a few people on here know what the heck I've been up to since I haven't got to post any pics of monster hogs.
