I've bought a red black mouth cur about 5 months ago... shes 8 months old now, i've put her in the baypen with other dogs when she was about 5 months old and nothing, the dogs she was intended to join in with are about the same age..
she will walk up start sniffing, but no bark and it never fails she gets trampled.
the other pups will be baying their heads off but she shows lil intrest...
i've not tried her in the pen since shes gotten a little older cuz idk where to start at..

Im open to all ideas and opinions....

BUT ID RLLY LIKE TO SEE THIS DOG EXCEL!

Id say give the pup more time. I would work on a handle for another 4 to 5 months. If you get the pup scared it will set it back even more. Give it some time if the breedin is there it will come around. Some pup's just dont start early as some does. Give her time

I had one that was literally chasing a butterfly while the other dogs bayed the pig...a few months later she was going insane on a pig!! I had done a lot of obedience training and confidence building stuff on her though so basically i got her to where if i said get it she would kill something. lol just give the pup more time.

Is there a place you can tie her up on the outside of the pen and she still can see what's going on in the pen? It will make her start to want it more.

My 2 pups wouldn't bark at my 70# boar outside my pen. I built my pen out of an old trampoline frame so I threw my male in there at 4/5 Months the hog had an attitude problem he learned real quick what he was suppose to do. My female still wont bark and she got the same treatment but if I throw a scoop of dog food in there and the pig gets near it she will bark and bite and go crazy on him
