Yea we have been goin to Ok for several years and noodling up there, but was just trying to find anyone down here that is or has been doin it. Reason is OK there is plenty of structure , rocks, flooded roads, ect. Our location is very scarace on either and just wanted to talk to a few of the box builders or barrel sinkers to see how effective these are. If you do have done or "know somebody wink wink who has done it" shoot us some idea's for underwater structures. And also if you have never done this you better put your big boy underoo's on cause this is a whole new level of balls in your throat kinda experience.

I would do it the San Jacinto River in Montgomery County or smaller or more northern parts of rivers.  I would not do it in the Trinity, below the Livingston Dam, because I don't want to get eaten by bull sharks or giant alligators.  I have tried it in Livingston with no luck, but this past year I saw a GIANT alligator on White Rock Creek that might keep me from trying it on the north end of Livingston.  I only saw this gators head, and it was one third the size of my kayak, and it was checking out my fish basket.  I may try it on White Rock Creek during the middle of the day, but not dusk or dawn when gators mostly feed.

There hasn't been any fatal gator attacks in Texas, in modern times, but there are a lot of severe attacks in Florida.  Eventually there will be one in Texas unless they let us hunt them more.  I wish they would ease the restrictions on gator hunting, cause I love gator meat.

Tell ya what YBM u find out how to build a box and I'll build a few and sink em around the forks north of Dam B. Then you can show me how to noodle and I'll watch for gators with a cold one. Smiley this might be fun in Oklahoma to many gators in east Texas now.
