Had a good hunt this morning. Roll Call : Myself and my son Skylar for his first hunt, David, Jake, and Obie. Set out just after daylight to a spot that the land owner suggested. We pulled up and about 50yds away was a 150lb boar in a coral trap. The land owner walked up, shot at it and the pig went bat crap crazy... broke the pin and kicked up dirt. We rushed back to the dogs and cut them loose. Caught a pert near dead hog at 100yds. We stopped by another spot or two with heavy sign and turned up nothing. Went to a place with no sign and the dogs were able to work something out at 600yds, They bayed, broke, bayed, and broke heading toward us and finaly put the breaks on him at 150yds. When we made it there, it was no doubt why he broke bay so many times. The 350lb boar dwarfed the pack of dogs. I had to pull some dogs off of a long chase on a third pig so I could get my son home to DR. MOM. I was finaly able to get my 6yr old son in the woods and back home only with a sprained ankle

but he enjoyed every last minute and to top of the day he was at both bays, with a grin from ear to ear.
You meet alot of true stand up great people when in this sport so I would like to thank some who helped with this trip.
Special Thanks to Obie for his custom made father and son break sticks

to user turdburd for getting me a good spotted dog last week that he got from user cwomack. Willie hunted his arse off and reached out to .8 on the garmin
