All three have their benefits, pits and abs are loyal, have good grip, easily acquired and high success rate. Dogos are swift, graceful, intelligent, beautiful and able to subdue hogs with their mystical powers of "the shining"

I'm an ab and pit Guy. I have one ab gyp I'm about to start and two finished pits. (Just lost my finished ab) and I have an ab pit mix. I'm a pitbull Guy bottom line but I like an ab too. I also have a two month old cross(pit/ab) and I already know she's gonna be a good one. Its Like farm equipment. All Have pros and cons. U just have to pick ur favorite color or on this case breed.

I love to trust a good solid mouth. APBT would be my choice if i didn't know the dog. If it was my choice it would be DOGO and his name is SOCO or my upcomer which is build almost the same and he is 1/2 dogo and 1/2 AB.
But, like i said there are allot more dependable pits in my book but ive been behind one hell of a CD for the last 5 years and he is a Dogo (not the great big one either) I love a smaller dog that can get around.

This topic has been beat to death over the years on here... just do a search.
There's good and bad in all three breeds... I like one that catches, has a good handle and is quiet. I'm partial to the AB's and AB crosses myself.

Why are most Dogo crosses with an ab? Just don't see many crossed with a pit.

My guess would be to retain the size.

My guess would be to retain the size. I would think the same. I think the one i have was more off of the dogs backgrounds. I know Soco will be breeding Jane soon. Jane is a ABPT from Blake i think his handle is Blakebh. That should be a really good mix up. Ive hunted behind both dogs.

If you just want a catchdog...go with a pit. If you like a bit of a challenge, willing to do some research...sort through some BS...talk to lots of people and study some blood go with an AB. If your REAL froggy and REALLY like the research and sorting through BS aspect go with a Dogo. Good and bad in all.

I prefer the long legged, big headed, thich chested, lean pits. I like pits in general. so many shapes, sizes and colors. Haven't had much dealing with the AB but know the price is a lil hefty for a pup. The same goes for a dogo. Pits are just easier to come by and when I got the 2 I like I'm just going to keep breeding my own.
So over all there are alot of variations of a PIT and that's what I have liked about them besides the fact that they have a stout mouth. and they are easier to get a hold of when your pocket book is sayin' "ouch"

Bryant I don't think I have ever read more true words than that except for the part my pit would not protect his own tail if it was not attached or there is a diller around lol
