I know some lab crosses that have turned out great. Not being from breeding stock though would worry me a little bit. as long as the lab wasn't show breed I think you'd be alright but it'll be a 50/50 shot. if you're willing to feed one and grow it up I'd say go for it can't hurt nothing if you're willing to do that. Some of my best dogs have been free so I'd say if you're willing to raise one that may not turn out that's your deal.

Shoot if I was sure it even had a 50/50 shot I'd jump on it. It's been my luck that most dogs don't make a hog dog. Might just be my lack of training ability though. I would actually just be hoping for more of catch or RCD anyway.

I haven't seen a lab or lab cross yet that would come close to being a hog dog. I wouldn't waste my time with one. There's way too many free cur dogs out there to worry about a lab.

this is an F1 cross ive often thought about and would love to try. we used labs as bomb dogs for years  and the dogs we used i reckon would have made cracker hoddogs given the chance.

A friend of mine has a pair of them and you cant beat them. They are rcd. One of them will not say a word all catch. The other one yep's a little bit as he's trying to close the gap on the hog. Get you one Id say you have a good chance with it.
