Looks like I may have a chance to move down to Tx sometime in the next few months to a year from a hogless northern state, that also has very few dog events. Current areas that are possibilities are in the Denton/Dallas area or down in San Antonio. Figured I would ask ya'lls opinions on the locations. Which area do ya guys think is better? Better to live, to run dogs, easier to get to/more dog events and hunting, and just general life. lol I'll appreciate any thoughts or opinions on this!

I live about 30 miles north of Dallas, and usually have to drive 1 to 2 hours to hunt, work is only 15 minutes away though. and last time i checked the cost of living was a little higher in San Antonio. I would just suggest doing your research if you have a choice on where you would like to live.

Thank you all for your opinions. I'm trying to do my research on both locations, this is part of it. If I'm moving somewhere I want it to be a step up, and being able to run the dogs on hogs is one big plus for the move! I agree with several of you I definitely could NOT live inside the city of Dallas, I would probably off someone haha! I am looking for places outside the city in one of the outlaying towns, on no less than a few acres of land.

Yep I will have to do a bit of a clothes switch out for the move, it hasn't even touched 95 this year up here! Just need to decide the best place to go. Thank you all that shared your opinions, does anyone else want to share their opinions on which location is the better place for hog doggin?

Ever consider So. East Tx. area closer to Houston for more hog #'s, more wooded/swampy,etc.
