Hey folks, Ive been looking around on this site for a while, and really enjoy reading what y'all have to say. I have a ? But I don't know how to ask it so here we go. It has been a long time since I have messed with any dogs so I'm not up to speed on what's what. My wife and I have just bought a place in north La. With nothing but woods around it. I have got permission to hunt it all I want as long as it's not deer season. I would like to get a catahoula or two to start with. I'm pretty sure the kids will enjoy it just as much as I did at their age. I know everyone has their own opinion about who has the best dogs. This may not sound right but I don't want the best or should I say I cant afford the best. What I would like is a young catahoula "puppy" that I can get out and mess with. I would like a puppy because I have two small kids so I would like the dog to grow up around them. If you know of someone around north La. Or east Texas could you shoot me a pm. Also any info about the different lines would be helpful. If not then I'll keep looking on here I just haven't found anything close enough. Thanks for your help and sorry if this should have been posted in the dog trades.

Welcome cody....I'm a long way from LA and TX but I'm sure some of these fine folks will have a pup that they might part with to help you get started. There are some sure enough good people on here so jump right in and don't be shy. You can learn something quite often on here, heck I've been hog hunting with dogs for 35 years and I still learn something new all the time.

Thanks for the welcome. I have been looking around on here for a while and trying to learn, but if you ain't careful you will learn something new everyday. Lol. I have had a few folks pm me about dogs, the only problem now is my work schedule is pretty jacked up. The pups I'm hearing about are two+ hours away. So hopefully work will slack up some or I can find something a lil closer. I would like to thank everyone for your time and help, and if you would please keep your eyes open for me.

Hi im originally from West Monroe but live in south Ar about 45 min from Monroe. I have 5 pups that are 75% catahoula 25% Black mouth cur these arent off pedigree dogs just dogs that hunt I have caught a few pigs with the mother of these pups if your interested I will let you have one for $25 I have wormed them 4 times they are 10 weeks now I had planned on keeping the whole litter to start but it sounds like your the right type of person to help start. They are all colors I have two picked out for sure I am keeping they are the ugliest ones though lol . jasondunn308@gmail.com |
