We crossed a big rattler last weekend. Phone was dead so no pics. But he was more than enough for me. I hate snakes.

    Haven't seen many around Austin county or Burlesun County,    but we found plenty
     in Carrizo Springs

I wish i could say the same ... I seen them every time i go i hate snakes ... i was out in livingston an heard a rattlesnake when we was on the wheeler an started lookin an sure enough he was layin right off the trail ... only had 5 rattles but that doesn't mean chit to me lol he could've had none an i would've freaked

Could the lack of rain n high temps be causing it? I know snakes like to bask in the sun, but could it just to hot for them? Hope aint none in my area this nxt wkend when i get hm. I HATE snakes!!!!!

I think it's the lack of rain... we ain't seen a quarter of the moccasins we usually see... less rain = less for vermin to eat = less for snakes to eat... maybe they just holed up waitin' on it to get wet again... whatever it is, I don't mind  Grin
