One nation under GOD... We, as a nation have turned our back on God, we vote what is best for our pocketbooks never thinking about what God would want us to do... We never question whether the people we send to Washington are truly living a christian life.. We, as a nation, have forgotten that if we follow his teaching he will bless us!!

Levibarcus, well said. Iv posted those passages before on several other political threads. Its nice to see some 1 else knows their rights and what it takes to become free again. With out numbers, the great many will always out weight the few who want to see us go back to a free society, but not free DOES NOT mean free hand outs. Most of us strive to make their childrens lives better than they had it themselves, but if by not standing up for YOUR rights as americans and free children of God, then how do you ever think your children will have it better? Yes we can ensure better education, better living conditions, but none of that means a hill a beans if WE keep letting thses political puppets run this country to the hands of BIG Corprate mongrals. ALL of YOUR children, including mine, and their children will enslaved in corprate greed. Greed not for themselves, but for the government and its puppet masters, and our children and grandchildren and possably the next generation will have to pay for it. Its a vicious never ending cycle. If you want better for your next generation and generations to come, its gonna take blood, sweat, and tears from the strong willed to take the power back. Loved ones will weep and shed tears for their loss of family members, but thats what it take to be FREE.
Its time time to build an army, an army of names on a petition drive for the governments removal, if not your self, do it for your children and their children. Reset the clock back 200+yrs to ensure our survival. If you can realy say you love your children, then its time to act on it. Enough griping and complaing. How about we do something!!!! If there are any true red blooded free americans

Term limits and doing away with politicians benefits would go a long way. Being a legislator should not be a profitable business. I am fine with paying the house and senate a reasonable sum, I seem to do alright on my salary as a soldier so they should be able to do the same. We get a housing allowance depending on where we are stationed, they could get that too so they can have a sensible place to live in DC while they work there. No need to travel back and forth to their home state much during session, unless there is some issue that they need to see first hand. I go to the field for weeks or a month at a time, deploy for a year sometimes longer, they can suck it up too. The problem as I see it, is that people no longer get into politics for a love of country and what's right, or at least what they believe to be right. They go into it chasing the almighty dollar, and stay because of greed and an easy life.
I also have a suggestion on how to run campaigns for election and reelection. Both sides start with the same amount of money. That's all you get, no more and if any wrongdoing is found you forfeit the election and are banned from politics for life. If you can't budget an election, you damn sure can't budget a nation.
Conduct of legislators should be governed by much the same rules as the army, or at least the old army. You get a DUI, you're out. Drug use (tested regularly) you're out. Patterns of misconduct(this can include lying), failure to adapt, AWOL (in this case missing votes) you're out. If you can't hack it you're OUT.
We also need to change that office linebacker guy to be the "constitution linebacker". Somebody proposes something that goes against the constitution and WHAM!

Received this in an email a couple weeks ago.
This is something I will fight for and I hope you all read it all the way through. You will be glad you did.
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.
I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security..
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do..
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!

Just from reading a few posts i want to comment on a couple things.
First our money is worthless. The GOVT printed so much of it theres not enough in Ft Knox to cover all the money floating around. The only reason its still "worth" anything is because people still accept it. try takin a hundred bucks to the bank and askin for your hundred bucks gold.
Second if we quit fighting wars for free, we wouldnt be in half the predicament we are in. We are spending billions to buy oil from the middle east when there is plenty right here. I did some researchon this years ago in college and Montana has one of the worlds largest oil pockets (i could be wrong on the state its been a few years and head injuries ago
).
this is the one im going to get yelled at for.. one nation under god was added in th 50s. it wast the original pledge which was written inthe 1800s. Not that I agree with it being removed. Its what i said every morning in school and thats how im teaching my son. BUT its not he one my parents said every morning in school, so how is that really a HUGE deal with everything else facing our country? Dang i went and did it.. the two things i hate talking about.... politics and Govt...
being int he line of work i am in, i get alot of emails and information on radical groups. The people that really bother me at the present are Sovern Citizens. There are many different groups that operate under this name and they dont care for rules of any kind. the go strictly by th constitution. That in its own is not a bad thing, however our fore fathers had enough wisdom to see that this country would evolve as man kind does and that the constitution would need to be in a sense edited to suit the times. These individuals will and have kill anyone who doesnt see things exactly like they do.
Just from seeing the things that have happened around this country as well as the unrest that is there. Its my opinion we are one assassination ATTEMPT away from a civil war.

Who is the attempted target to get this much needed war going? The war should be fought between the citizens and the government. Should take to long n it needs to start at the top and filter down to local levels. Hopefully before it gets to the state or city gov, they may want to act and flight rite.

Religious folk, please don't take offense. But can you not see that running our country based on idealism is part of the problem? The Liberals when in power make decisions that further their idealistic goals. Often those choices negatively affect the majority of Americans. If decisions were made based on conservative religious idealism, how could the results be any better? Both sides are making decisions based on what is good for their camp and point of view. Not for the nation as a whole.
This is what I despise about democracy. The mob gets to choose. And the mob is easily persuaded by media and led by their heart. Not their brains. This is why our nation was meant to be a republic and not a democracy. A republic is governed by laws. Democracies are governed by mass whim. A politician gets to do whatever they like because they are acting under "the will of the people". We are a republic... all national decisions HAVE to be made in accordance with the Constitution. If they are not, we fall into mob rule.
Maybe the founders got it wrong. Maybe we never should have been a republic. Maybe we should have been a federation of states. Then folks in California wouldn't have a say what we do in Texas, and vice versa.

Machine, you just said what I was afraid to. At least on a message board like this. Religion was never meant to govern, at least, not by the men and women who faithfully adhere to it's principles at the most basic and innocent level. For centuries, those in power have exploited these doctrines and used them to aid in the control of the people without question from the masses. It is by the same reasoning that religion and money have been so successful in influencing the minds of the people. I'm not saying you agree with me, just saying our problems as a society stem from two main sources of BS. Money and Religion.

Several years ago I read some history of the world that I really wished I had written it down and who it was quoted from. It basically stated that the average civilization in history lasted 200 years. It broke down the time frames from slavery to freedom and back to slavery. As I watch what is happening in America today. I'm continuely reminded how vunerable we are. Just wished thoses running this country cared enough to see also.

Who is the attempted target to get this much needed war going? The war should be fought between the citizens and the government.
just from what ive seen on the streets its going to start as a race war and go from there. The govt will more than likely start sending troops in to calm the situation and IMO thats when it will turn to a civil war. As far as the attempted target....just take a guess. Since this country is TOTALLY split along the political lines there is only ONE person you either love or hate.

a race war is only a symtom and not a root cause.
And China would like us to have a civil war... then they can come and take us over without firing a shot...

We don't need no damn civil war thats the last thing we need, we need unity people to come together as one and clean this damn government out . What we need is somebody to become the mouth of the South and get this info out to the media a natural born leader tha wants to lead and will not take no for a anwser a real christan with some Balls that has the faith and the will power to get it done a eye for a eye a tooth for a tooth, somebody that is willing to die for his beliefs strong like we use to be . We all rise as one power with one goal in mind and get this crap straightened out ! Clean these hole in the butts that are bought and paid for out of office and get new raw talent in there that wants to make a mark somebody hungry !
A civil war is the last thing we need it would make us much weaker and exposed to other country's that are just itching to get there fangs in us .
No we need to all come together as a people and one nation under God set aside some of our differences no one person is 100 % correct and mold as one and this thing will get right other wise we are in for a hell of a ride !
