Two dogs showed up at a man's house in Dayton. Out by Day Lake area. One was wearing a cut vest and a tracking collar, and the other dog didn't have anything on. If anyone knows who these dogs may belong to or if you lost some dogs out that way. The gentleman who's house they are at, asked me to post his number. Its 832-538-9671. He is kind enough to try and find the owners of the dogs.

Maybe they are not on this board. I hope that is why. A tracking collar tells me most likely they want the dog. But you never know.

The dogs were returned to the rightful owners. They were in the woods looking for the dogs and another person was driving around looking for them and stopped in at the house where they were. Im always glad to hear when someone gets their dogs back. Its a terrible feeling when they are lost. Despite our best efforts, it happens to the best of us.

Sounds like they got money to buy tracking collars so they can find the hogs not dogs, gees, no nametags on collars or even on the tracking collars or vest,  gives hunters a bad name, no telling how many dogs starve, get shot, get run over or wander due to the lack of a 50 cent name tag on a $4 collar, but in all fairness, somebody could have caught the dogs, removed the collars and hauled them away from the hog to save him!!!!!lol  You did good giving a heads up, one never knows anymore,,,,

I totally agree that its up to the dog owner to make sure that if the dogs gets lost that there is a name plate on the dogs collar. Also, Krystal had a great idea of putting your name and number inside of your cut vest with a permanate marker. We have name plates on all of our collars but I have had dogs to slip their collars. Ive also been guilty of running a dog, knowing that one of the rivets on the name plate was broken, while it only takes seconds to replace. We all need to be responsible dog owners and at the same time remember that it can happen to anyone.

I want a stencil to paint my number large on the vest and cut collars because the Sharpie fades.

Ive got to see this!  Cheesy

Well, sharpies are too freakin cheap not to try this so I will give it a shot. We have name plates on our collars but you can never be too prepared. I like it because its very visible for someone who doesn't know what they are looking for.  So here it is.....

Here's what I did on Tyson's vest. Didn't have to worry about it wearing off either.

Gees thats a great patch and surely somebody would know not to shoot the dog or try to steal it and has a responsible owner for sure who cares, I like that bright orange as well!!!

Embroidery shop here in town made the patch, then an upholstery shop sewed it on. Might have cost a total of 20 bucks
