Just had to share this. It's about the most ridicious statement I've heard from a neighbor to date.
Had a neighbor start a wildfire about a week and a half ago. He never came by my father-in laws to say he was sorry or ask if there was anything he could do or anything. I seen him in our pasture with a sprayer putting out hot spots and talked to him. The only thing he said was that we were lucky. The reason he was putting out hot spots is because he owns land on both sides of us and didn't want the fire to get to the rest of his property. The firemen had to cut the fence to put out the fire. Now I'm thinking it should be their responsiblity to fix the fence. They didn't and one of my calves gets over there. They call me and ask me to come get him. At this point I relayed my thoughts about their place to fix the fence, which they did,
At this point in the conversation I offered to go over and ride the brush and get the calf back. Thats when I have been told NO HORSES ARE ALLOWED BY THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY.
That's when my temper flared alittle. I told this dumbass this is cow country, just catch my calf and bring him home yourself. I don't play well with dumbasses like you!!!  Can you believe what this rural ranches are coming to?

Tusk hog, your neighbors must be kin to mine.
I had neighbors call the local humane society and tell them I had 70 or so dogs in 3x3 crates all over my yard and the dogs were in bad shape. They dispatched the animal control to my house and my wife was home. She asked the Animal Control to repeat the allegations, he did and she was like follow me, took him to the back yard showed him all three adult dogs and the litter permits for the two litters (which were down to half so I had eight pups), the licenses for the dogs, the vaccination tags and the officer was like ok sorry to bother you guys. He commented to my wife that I had the best set up for my dogs in the county, later the same neighbor said something about us terrorizing the feral cats in the nieghborhood, this time the other animal control officer shows up... I told him that my dogs bark when those cats get semi-suicidal and hang on the fence by the kennels just out of reach of the dogs but that is the limitation of the ferals. I was quick to point out she feeds them and the other next door neighbor does and perhaps feeding them was her way of taking ownership and perhaps she should be fined for having domestic animals at large. For a while I got some harassment from the anti's over pictures and breeding.

Yea I live right at 2 miles off the hwy. I've had woods between me an the hwy. for 30 years. A couple years ago the timber company sold the land an people started building houses. You'd be surprised at some of the stuff I've seen out of these city idiots. We were in bed one night at 1:00 a.m. and my dogs went to barking an woke us up. There was a spot light shinning around in the yard. I jump up an go out side it was a whole family of one of the new neighbors. They came home an couldnt find there cat and was out looking for it.

One more time I was hunting out here. When I got back to my truck a lady that was having a house built out here was setting at my truck. When I got there she jumps out an starts cussing me telling me my dogs was after her cats.lol I told her no maam I've been with them dogs all morning and we aint seen no cats. She said well I brought 6 cats out here and they've all gone missing an I think your dogs has caught them. I KNOW HOW YOU FILL BRO. lol

I live in New Mexico, just south of Albuquerque, the litter permit is 25 bucks, not that bad. In Albuquerque there is an annual fee of 150 for every intact dog or cat and a litter permit of 150 for each litter, so if you have two dogs and a litter a year its 450 bucks. They passed some crazy laws the same ordinance that I mentioned above also states a barking dog gives the police probable cause to enter your home.... thats why I dont live in Albuquerque

I was working on my truck over at my dad's place enjoying the cool night. My wife called because my dogs were going crazy. She had sent my oldest boy out and he said they were barking at a puppy I had chained out. I only have dogs in kennels not on chains so I had to take off to check things. I got home and found some little mutt chained to a roll of wire. It sure looked like my neighbor's so I drug that mutt back over to them. They said they were tired of it and I had so many dogs. I was so mad told them if they dumped the dog on me I would shoot it. I would not shoot it but I would take it too the pound. I just could believe them.

Yea my neighbors aren't very bright either. I had a gyp I couldn't catch and another dog that never left my house. One day they had a cat dead in the yard, mind you they got 30 cats and like 10 dogs. Instead of them asking me if my dogs bother cats they tell me YOUR DOGS KILLED MY CAT. THEY ARE HUNTING DOGS THEY WILL HUNT AND KILL ANYTHING. I kinda laughed and told them I have a cat that stays outside why ain't she dead yet. So I finally caught her chained her up and the other dog. They came over to my house a turned the same to dogs loose and said it was to hot to keep them chained up. REALLY!!!!! Had another incident with them I watched the calf being born noticed it had half a tail. I called and let him know he JUST had a calf born with half a tail he says oh really does it look like a dog bit it off? I was like really guy are you serious.

gotta love em I posted this a few years ago.... one of my anti nieghbors came over one day to investigate a trapped puppy in the door panel of my truck. I got home from work and noticed a bunch of crows out by the garden so i popped in my crow call cd and went in the house to load the 12 gauge and drop... I mean go to the bath room. When I came out the lady was trying to tear my freakin door panel off of my truck to "get my trapped puppy out" I turned the radio off and told her to get her a$$ off of my property. The 12 gauge in my hand had her telling everyone who cared to listen to her that I held her at gunpoint.  Grin This my friends is a true story......

Peach, that's some funny crap right there. I'd have blasted a round over my truck to get her attention.
Just to make sure she never came back. These folks that y'all speak of are the ones voting for our leaders.

I feel bad for all of yall. We are lucky to have good neighbors who pretty much keep to themselves other than watching each others houses for strange vehicles when we are gone..... of course there is a pretty good distance between our houses.

My dad had a neighbor shot his dog for killing their kittens on the porch because they were gone. She knew it was my dad's dogs because she never heard anything but the kittens dissappeared on at a time. His wife was pissed so he shot the dog with a shotgun. The dog lived but he had to pull pellets out for a while. While the dog was still at the vet the wife was looking put the window at the last kitten and a hawk flew in and took the last kitten.

CRAZY DOG KENNELS

My neighbor decided our propertyline wwas surveyed right and that he was gonnahave it redone, We told him fine as long as it doesnt cost us anything. Well turns out our survey was right, he had the nerve to tell us that we shouldnt have bull dogs he said and I quote "what would happen to my kids if they came up to your dog in your yard while they were playing?"  I said first of all under no uncertain terms should your kids EVER be in my yard without me present. Second those bull dogs are around my 3 yr old, 2 yr old and 5 month old with no problem. Third and last if you dont have the common decency to teach your kids to stay out of other peoples property without permission then you can kiss mine.... Needless to say we dont like eachother and he has never come by again but has called the sheriff and animal rights people on us.... which the complaint was then dismissed because I have a 55 gallon snap ring barrel full of food and there water buckets are buried partially in the ground to keep them cooler in the summer.. I was pissed and at the time I was pregnant not a good thing to piss a pregnant woman off LOL Evil

did you gat your calf back yet if not i will bring rosie down and turn her loose on it if she dont catch it she will make it run back through the fence. just jacking with you since she would not pay any attention to a cow when you had her. i had a couple of dogs working out in the pasture yesterday evening while i was cleaning water bowls out and the pig i have running around came around the barn so i thought i would turn rosie out and let her work the pig like she has been doing and instead she went straight across the pasture to the dogs working the cows and went ot work like a pro. she is a little on the rough side but had them cows stepping on each other big time. she ended up catching a calf so i grabbed her up and put her back in the kennel. dont know what iam gona do with her now dont really need another cow dog. if they got any cow in them keeping them in the kennels behind the barn where the cows walk by to get water dailey will bring it out.
