I always have good luck with diesel corn. Soak corn in diesel for a good while and spread out. Deer and cattle wont eat it but hogs lap it up. I also will dig about a 3 foot hole with post hole diggers and fill the hole up with the corn, and put a lil dirt on top of it. It will start a wallow and they keep coming back.

Why dont you get a spincast deer feeder and set it to only go off at night and dump your dogs loose and walk them up to as its going off, they will still be there if you time it right and you can have a sight race for young pups, soaking corn in diesel is against the law and who the heck came up with this idea???  Diesel corn eating pigs sounds like a way to kill  hog and people who eat the meat and is downright retarded if you think about it, benzene is the leading cause of cancer down here where i live, its in gas, diesel, oil pine trees, oil based driling mud, stay away from anybody who is using it to trap hogs unless you want a bellyache or cancer is my advice, any landowner who found that on a ranch down here would run you off on the spot!!

Depends on what you do with the hogs, i get mine to train pups with and dont eat them if they have eatin the diesel corn. What about the creosote telephone poles?! Hogs will naw on them and get it in their system. Does that make that illegal?

In case you have not noticed, cresote is full of benezene and i have not seen it for sale at feed stores in ages, all of those post makers went out of business who used to make cresote posts,,,,,,,,,what about the hogs that came in and ate a belly full and ran off next ranch where somebody shot it and ate them and all died, get the point, its retarded and insane to use it, if a protected bird eats it like a whooping crane and dies you goting to do time and a fine

Actually I prefer my diesel over my breakfast cereal. I would like to see some real scientific data on it. I don't eat many of them but it would be interesting to see.

I use half bag of hog heaven or hog wild mix it with 5gallon bucket of corn with big red or sometimes water with a lid. Let it set for 4/5 days. It works for me. I also Barry some in a lil bucket and bait out on top of it

haha,  i dont feed it to them year round or water my yard with diesel, but its the best attractant out there. I would hate to see how many gallons of diesel are actually used in a year on catching hogs in Texas. Not to mention in OK,LA,AR,MS,TN,FL and all the other states.

all chemicals do not bioaccumulate. The only studies i can find relate to benzene. It doesnt bioaccumulate in marine animals.....not exactly pigs but i doubt it accumulates in pigs either. I will continue to research it and if i find something saying diesel bioaccumulates in hogs i might stop using it.  Grin.

bioaccumulation (sp) of petrol based products has been studied a good bit in my line of work (auto tech). I've had nearly daily contact with used oil, gasoline, diesel and or others for over 25 yr.'s.  There have been numerous tech over the years claim damage or illness from bioaccumulation (sp) of burn motor oil. And every studie sways show it would take like 100 times the daily contact that tech's are exposed to. So I don't think the hogs are getting enough long term exposure for it to cause a secondary bioaccumulation. But that's just my 2 cents

from the EPA:

E. Environmental Fate: Benzene can volatilize into the air from water and soil (2, 76). Benzene can
break down within a few days in air, whereas benzene breaks down more slowly in water and soil. It can
also easily leach from the soil into groundwater. Benzene does not bioaccumulate in plants or animals.

heres the link to read up on it:  http://www.epa.gov/teach/chem_summ/BENZ_summary.pdf

I got hold of some soar mash that was left over after it had been run through a still....I've never seen anything like it for bait. The hogs went nuts over it, came to it 3 times the first day....all in the daylight. They licked the ground clean of it.....it smelled to high heaven but they literally went crazy over the stuff.
