Been using a Garmin with 4 DC 30 collars for a few weeks now, and for the most part I am really pleased. However, I am having a problem with getting the collars to charge. I have 8 chargers, and I have to keep swapping back and forth between collars and chargers to finally get the blue light to come on. I feel like the contacts are pretty clean. Am I missing something here?

Chris,
If you figure out the problem, will you let me and pretty much everyone else I know that has them in on the solution. Mine do the same exact thing.
That, in my opinion, was a very poor design. The light should be solid blue anytime there is a connection, and turn to flashing when charging. As it is, when you get no blue light your left wondering if connection is bad or if battery is full...

Does it still charge them, even though the blue light is not on? I can hear a "click" in the collar even though the light is not always coming on.

Just got off the phone with Garmin. The lady offered to replace the collars, but did say that this is a common complaint and they are aware of it. She told me that usually the collar is still charging even though the light is off. This has been my only issue, and I guess I will just deal with it. Sure have been spoiled with radio collars not needing to be charged

bayinman, I am still hanging my quicktrack collars on the dogs along with the garmin collars. So far in the last 7 hunts I have not had to use the radio system. However, the dogs have only been out to 1.8 miles, so I have not really tested the range yet. I imagine that reception will get worse as the foliage gets thicker.

I was having the same problem.
I found that I was not pushing the charger lead connection all the way down in the groove of the collar receptacle. It felt like it was seating all the way but when I had a closer look in the light I was able to see the problem. Just a little extra force and I haven't had the problem since. It about drove me crazy until I figured it out.
