Went to a spot that we haven't hunted in a while, stopped the truck, and make-em-sqeal's dog bailed out of the truck. Of course he wasn't tied in since Grant is a knucklehead. We heard the hogs about 30 yds ahead of the truck and went to dumping dogs. Didn't have time to even check garmins. But managed to get a good split bay. Both in ponds. Here's a couple pics, more to follow   |

As usual another great hunt... I did have a couple dogs cut up but it shouldnt be anything too serious. My old lacy dog Marker got the worst of it, but I got her patched up good now. She is getting to where she probably doesn't heal as fast as she used to and it pains me to see anything happen to the ol' girl. Here is a pic of the first hog.  I like how big Lukes mouth looks in this picture.  And here is the best shot I could get of the dogs caught on the 2nd hog. She was a big heifer probably 250+, If only that damn branch wasnt in the way.  Luck for me, Grant volunteered to go swimming in this nasty green muck and fetch our hog.  |

Luck for me, Grant volunteered to go swimming in this nasty green muck and fetch our hog. Chops, I'm not sure he exactly volunteered, after his "catchdog fowl" and all. |

No, we had split bays and he was on the other one, it was a real big sow with one weird tooth that looked like it came out from the middle of her bottom jaw and stuck straight out about two inches. He got about a half dozen little stab wounds but nothin major. I'm really loving that dog. We call him Big Dog. |

Big dog (dane) has really stepped up the last 5 hunts or so. Making circles taking tracks the whole 9. It defiantly hasnt hurt that he has been put on a bunch of hogs and hog sighn every hunt. Glad we got a new spot to put back on the rotation, kind of far but its loaded! Loved seeing the young dogs step up, chromedome/Jack is always a pleasure to hunt with. I forgot what it felt like to be cold until last night! |
