Jeff and a friend of Jeff's and Brandon met up around 6pm and turned loose my dog Superman and my pup Apache, Jeff turned loose Soka and some other dog i forgot his name, and Brandon brought a young dog he turned loose.  Started out kinda slow untill i gave Superman some incouragement and he left out.  He work every sqaure inch of this lower end of the property till he came bayed close to 700.  We headed to him when we got to about 400 dogs could here Superman and went to him.  Got within 200 yards and you could here a caught hog.  Jeff turned Jane loose from about 200 just to seal the deal.  After crossing several big creeks we where at the caught hog.  First one was a 140 pound sow to far from the truck and my fence line so we stuck the hog.  Took a break for a little while and decided to head out.  It's about 11pm at this point.  As we are headed out of the woods i asked who had to work tomorrow and Brandon and i where the only one's that had to be up ealry.  I asked them if they wanted to cut loose one more time at the front side of this place because ive been seeing a really good boar up there.  Everyone was good to go so we cut loose Brandon's dog, Soka, and Superman.  I left Apache in the rhino because he was a little ruff.  Good thing!!!!  Dogs opened up almost all together and had just a wonderful bay going about 300 yards out.  We had unvested Jane and Dozer earlier so we went to grabbing dogs and i decided to take a little time and vest Dozer.  Jeff was already ahead waiting on me with Jane and no vest.  As we got to 200 yards i coudln't hear a pig or anything just 3 loose bay dogs hammering.  Pretty open woods, it just sounded awesome.  We cut Dozer and Jane loose at the same time about 100 yards out.  Never heard a catch or anything.  Went in behind to find a damn good boar.  I notice as Jeff grabs one leg and tells me he only has 1 leg Jane has a bad flesh cut across her back and one down low that had her entire insides hanging out.  Her and Dozer are on both hears taking care of business though.  We rush to hobble the big boar with some dog killer teeth.  Get Jane and Dozer off and dogs tied and hog.  I rush to the rhino to get water and medical supplies.  Hopefully not to much damage was caused, we got everything put back in and stapled shut.  I know picture sucked because of bad light and tending to Jane but this was a really good boar.  I would say 280 for sure on the low end.  SOmeone else will be posting pictures.  We got out of the woods and me and Brandon headed to take the pig to get him unloaded.  Long story short got him put in a holding trap and put a dog lead around the door just to be safe.  Brandon was standing in front of the door when this boar throws the door open bust the lead and runs right out in front of him.  THAT SUCKS!!!!  Only happen to me a couple times but that sucks bad after the work we got done.  When i got home and got the dogs unloaded i noticed my newer cut vest was destroyed buy this boar.  Dozer took one about 3inches long thru the front double layer of his vest but barley cut him and 1 good poke to the front lower shoulder.  Great hunt with some good Guys and wanted to say thanks for Brandon coming out.  Great guy.  Everyone, please say a prayer for BLAKEBH's dog (Jane)  Great dog but took a beating last night for sure.

No boar was hobbled and loaded just when i unloaded him and got him in the holding pen he jacked around for a bit and threw the door open and off he went.  I don't really want to even try him again.  2nd round might turn into a blood bath.  Wasn't the biggest hog ive caught but for sure one of the worst attitude.  He chewed thru some of the siding on my rhino bed and broke my driver side seat!   Angry

Here's the pics I took.  The dogs did good stood back and kept him still.  I was standing about 15 feet from the pen after we put him in.  I saw him hit Tue gate and it came up about 8 inches.  I started  moving in that direction and he hit it again this time coming up high enough he could get out.  Tue third time he hit it I got my hands on the door but he was allready coming through and I realized I am standing in the way.  I tried to holdit down but to strong.  Oh well we caught him, and I got pics.  These pics really don't do him justice.

MOnty- I'm glad old Stew was at the house on this one.  He might have taken a beaten on this boar.  He was sure pissed off.  I left out some of the story but the reason he was pissed is i shot him on Sunday evening just 5 days before with a bow.  It was a last minute dark shot on him and i clipped him up under his front shoulder.  He was sure pissed at those dogs and it didn't seem to bother him.
