338 lb Bad Boar !

All I can say is man o man !  Cory and I let the dogs out at 7.15 am they are making 700 yard rounds cking back . The dogs we took were Horn, Swig, Penny and the two catch dogs Champ and Duke.  Hunt for about a hour are so not much luck.  Move on up to were I know big boars hang out and sure nuff dogs are gone 750 yds out so we move on down the wagon road  to get closer get there they ck back in then we look down they are around 500 yds south of us and about the same time I looked at the garmin all three all the sudden show treed boom boom boom that quick treed treed treed .  We take off get to within 150 yds they are bayed down hard Horn , Swig and Penny as we get closer a boar hog runs past up over 200 lbs I thought Cory was gonna turn his catch dog loose on him was hoping he would not and he didn't thank God, get about 25 yds from the bay cant see the hog but can smell him and hear him and we both knew he ain't little . Turn both catch dogs loose the SOB breaks right before we get there .  Am thinking O hell damn , well they run about 75 yd the dogs shut him down we get there and there is about a 75 foot drop off into a dry creek bed with a little slew not much wider than myself and they got him caught in this down hill water run off leading to the bottom of the dry creek .  Man o man what a work out .  Cory gets in and grabs a leg am right on top of him I look up and only one catch dog on a ear  mine got shook off  and some how is underneath the hog .  Cory's bulldog champ has a death grip on one ear and there is a tree limb between the hogs head and were Champ has him locked down so I reach around the hog and am trying to stab him but the trench we are in is so narrow I can barley get in there I get him stabbed but the big boar wont die so I grab the legs now and Cory has a better angle  on his side and its everything I can do to hold this hog while Cory gots to work on his side and gets him stabbed really well .  This whole time I got my eyes glued on Cory's catch dog champ hoping to God he don't let go cause if he does me and Cory are going to the hospital it was a bad bad bad place to be in for sure.  Anyway Cory gets him stuck good and the old hog gives up .  What a hunt man .  This is a real man kinda hog mean and Brocky as hell.  I got to say Cory's bulldog has got my salute man he put a death grip on that big boar and held him till we could get the blade  in him my bulldog some how was penned underneath this big boar hog the whole time damn man ahahahahhaahha gotta love it !

Myself and my Horn dog.  I tell ya I could not be prouder of how my man has hunted this hog season.  This little sucker is a going fool .  He is half Plott and his mother is my Lil Ann gyp.

The few hogs I have caught like that threw the yrs make me remember why I use a 7 in blade and 2 big cds!

Yeah man he was a beast .  When we grabbed a back leg on him you knew that instant you was dealing with a real man .  Am just so glad Corys bulldog Champ didnt let go of that ear,   we was in a bad bad bad spot and it would have been stich city for sure!  That hogs nose is not but about two inches off the ground there and Cory weighs 260 himself so man you can see how big the hog really was.   Am 260 lbs myself and that son of a gun was rockin and a rolling when we first latched on to him.
