No, that dog you bred to is Mullet, the mother to my Snappa dog(the black gyp you was interested in)... Daisy was her full sister which is the momma to my Shine and Chub dogs... All three have the same father, Joker, who is dead now of old age...
Mullet is, hands down, a super dog... that bitch can't weigh but 45#'s tops and at over 10yrs old.... I have seen 20 trophy hogs JUST THIS YEAR that dog has single handedly bayed up and caught.... not to mention what she has produced over the previous 9 yrs... She is one of those dogs that has flat out figured out how to make a running trophy hog stand and fight.... plain and simple. HELL OF A DOG.
Of the half dozen litters I have kept up with, most come out WAAAAY rough... the males almost always make straight catch dogs... occasionally you get a superstar(1 out of 10)... My Snappa dog is one of those that shows brilliance one second and you want to kill the next lol... but that is the way it goes... you never know... Not to say that she might not throw a superstar herself one day if we chose to breed her...

Noah i dont know you but when you make the croos and have to many pups i would be glad to take 1 or 2 off your hands! Also if you need to get rid of some older dogs to make room for pups i would take that brown male to help you out! You have some good looking dogs

 If I do ever send any out... the dog will come with a non-disclosure clause... and the recipient will have to pay for the lawyer to make the whole thing legal...  Haha, I don't believe I could handle one, my wife has had to talk me out of the gun cabinet several times this year on my loose pups, if they were hanging from my longhorns ears I think id be talking her off the trigger.  Best of luck to you brother, they are impeccably constructed if nothing else and one of thems almost the right color  |

Then breed the best pup out of that cross back to Shiner. Now you talkin'.... Still waitin' on you to show me that it really works but I'm gettin' impatient!!!!! Only time will tell. Got a six week old mother/son cross on the ground now and a grandmother/grandson cross next year. |

Thank you sir, but my hunting partner Lee might fight you to the death over that brown dog as I gave it to him... These dogs ain't for everybody... just as there are some fine long range dogs out yall's way I can appreciate for what they are... they are not applicable to where I hunt for the most part... I am after a dog that, by itself, can shut trophy hogs down on a 1000 acrs piece of property and repeat... Terry thankyou... you have no idea... these rough sombitches can get you into trouble you don't want to imagine... .... I remember Shiner digging under her fence at a few mnths old and running me down out in the pasture.... while I was loping a young colt in training... that bitch caught that colt by the ham and It took everything that I had to whip her off and not get put on my head  ... was my introduction to what the meaning of "game" was |

I seriously doubt the "out hunt" factor lol.... only about a third of these dogs seem to turn out with enough nose/bottom to be effective on large/less piggy properties... the other two thirds are wind/hot track rough stopping dogs... excellent for smaller properties

I just ribbing you bit Noah those are some looking dogs but we do need a lot of nose down here. I run some gritty and some loose hell sometimes the loose get gritty like last night. We've been hunting smaller places 500 to 1000 or so acs my dog will quit a runner if it don't stop after a short time 40 min but Terry's Red dog has some bottom on him.

Noah ive heard say how rough your dogs are. I watched the latest video you posted and they look like loose baying dogs to me. A rough dog would have been trying that hog to me. Sounds to me like your dogs are gritty but not rough. Im not saying that in a bad way so dont get all bent up about it. I love a gritty dog that can stop one when it can but dont care much for a dog yhat wont stop one or tries to catch every thing.

Man, that's what I thought when I first started hunting with these dogs too... only after having come to terms with the fact that the "rough" dogs were gonna be that way whether I liked it or not... did I start hunting them that way.... and YOU KNOW WHAT??? THEY ADAPTED AND HAVE LEARNED TO SURVIVE!!!! ...crazy sounding I know.... but truth... I believe even the roughest dog, IF YOU PUT HIM OUT BY HIMSELF, will learn to survive... be it by learning to bay.... or learning to hold in a safe/smart way at the very least... I NEVER put more than two(rarely at that) truly rough dogs down at the same time. (I also no longer run ANY cut gear on said rough dogs... and you know what??? I HAVE LESS CUTS!!!!) ... I always get in trouble when I put too many of this type of dog down... that's when bad chit always happens... |

Noah, i dont like them long range dogs myself. I dont have the country to hunt dogs like that. Im always looking for a good dog or pup to try to make my dogs better and your dogs seem like they are good ruff short range dogs that would fit me. I'll check back with you when you have some pups and see if you have to many!  |

Your right bout the cut gear. I think it hurts more that helps cause they can move the way their body is supposed to not what their confined to. But i do run vest on a bulldog.
I can see what you mean on the dogs learning how to catch. Had a cat.one time that was straight catch. Used him as a lead in cd cuz he would not hunt. He got sent to every thing we bayed and died of old age cause he held to the side instead of head on. He never had a vest, i didnt even know they made vest when i had him.

I think alot of it has to do with the cut gear itself. I've seen cur dogs that were rough get a vest and realize when they caught they weren't gettin hammered I guess and they started to be straight catch. I think it builds their confidence up taking hits and not getting cut so bad and having them hard bits softened alil plus it can get restrictive and hung up in briars. I've debated putting something on one of my dogs because he always seems to get cut in the throat and I was hoping he would either learn to catch better or back up but he musta been dropped on his head because he hasn't changed a lick.
