To me it seemed like the new dog wasn't comfortable with the vest and it didn't seem like it fit him well.  I could be wrong though.

x2 i thought he ran/walked Grin like he had never had a vest on before.

i didnt see the part where they tied and shot a hog Huh?

I thought it was pretty good. You can tell they are hog hunters...not to mention Mr Campbell a great character. The buying dog not hunted for $1000, tieing and getting away, junk yard hog etc are all story lines the producer makes for the show. They want the show with drama/interesting to general public and non hunters.

I don't know the true quality of their dogs but they can't show them turning dogs out, waiting for the bay...walking in with bulldogs and catching a hog. That's only interesting a few times...not to mention difficulty getting good footage. They are going to show dogs near by, edit ins, off clips, drama etc.

Overall thought it was pretty good, good people and Mr Campbell is funny character.

Well we have one thing in common. I bought a pup from Pecan peak.  And me and Robert both think you need a little bawl in the bunch. I been running hogs all night me finally cought a strapping 10 lb er. Got home and got to watch . Heck I like it I know parts are staged. But it's not easy getting footage.

Very well put!  There is so much they can get out of any of these shows that keeps it entertaining to the kids and general public.  I have done a little filming and I can assure you that Wildlife will do its best not too co-operate when a camera is on, Dogs included!!! Smiley  That Mr. Campbell is a heck of a story teller, and he was right on the money about training your own dogs and lawyers!

Mr Campbell sure reminded me of Guss!   The part about the divorce attorney is the funniest thing I have ever seen on tv.

My wife and I thought it was funny how they put Mr. Campbell's words at the bottom of the screen so you would know what he was saying.  We could understand him just fine!  I can just see someone up north watching the show asking "what the heck did he just say?"

I notice people keep referencing a $1,000.00 dog.

The transaction that I observed was two dogs, and a lacy pup for $1,000.00.   Did I miss something?

yep that was the transaction, not for just one dog..I thought it was ok on entertainment value but not so good on true to life hog doggin but it's purpose is to entertain not a documentory..the campbell's are a colorful bunch if nothing else..it did look a little staged..

He's a pretty cool ol fart, its a well produced show, and Krystal sure ain't hard to look at. I'm glad I ain't on TV, some of yall are being a bit hard.

Black preachers tell congregations about something called the crab pot syndrome , when you put crabs in a pot you ain't gotta worry about escape because instead of each of them thinking about escape, all a crab can think about is making sure the next crab doesn't try to get out.

It's hard to make a true to life show that's still going to be interesting at episode 100, i think they did a good job balancing true hunts with entertainment i would really like to fight the sound editor though, but i guess to the general public that's cool to hear all the noise  i guess some one has to say rip rooster lol he looked like a he'll of a hound i bet he was a good one.  But was the buying dogs all story ? Because the footage showed alot of dogs on there yard and they were hunting them along side those new dogs made me think that part was added just for the entertainment part.  They shot that pig because he got loose and instead of resenting dogs to it they just shot it.  I wish they would have had more dogs baying though.
