Lost 2 of the best dogs I own Saturday night one to a good boar the other to a hunters gun. I don't have a problem losing a good one to a hog, but its hard to take when you loose one to a bunch of sorry a$$$ kids just out killing anything they see. To make matters worse this was a neighbor. A neighbor who I've taken his dog home after it showed up at my house. Game Warden has tried to help but as we all know to well the law is always on the shooters side. In this case not to the GW liking. I do appreciate all his help. Thought by hunting late at night I would be safe. Proved a bad mistake on my part. Hard to protect against malicious juveniles. It just goes to show being a good neighbor in Lampasas County doesn't mean crap to some!! The tan cur is Bob and was lost to the boar. The black is Pete that was shot. Both were full brother litter mates. They will be missed by myself and many others that had the pleasure to hunt behind this duo.  |

Sorry for your loss Tusk,its tough enough to lose a dog to a hog but to lose one because of some punks would be hard to take.I have lost hog dogs to hogs but never had one shot,when I used to run deer dogs this became pretty common.I hope you get those punks brought to justice!!!!

Really sorry for your loss  my buddies and I had five shot off a caught pig last year by a "hog hunter" all with three collars on them...still don't hear gunshot the same way. All I can say is karma is a bitch  sorry again |

yep they gona be missed i had the privelege to hunt behind them several times and both were sure enough hog dogs that will be hard to replace. the kinda dog that when you turn loose you better be ready to hunt. i sure hope they pay one way or another
