Me, Sean and Joel turned out this morning at daylight. Parked the 4-wheeler so we could walk down this flooded-out trail and started seeing fresh sign not too far in. Cheyenne opens up, then Blue and Birdie. They catch a small forty pound shoat. We finish our loop and get back to the 4-wheeler. The dogs strike out again, a pretty good ways and across a pipeline from where we were. Hog starts squealing and we get there... it's the same one! Huh? Funny thing is, he was a boar the first time we caught him... but he was a barr the second time! Shocked I don't know how that happened. Wink

So we get rolling again and about twnety minutes later Blue opens up and Cheyenne and Birdie are right behind him. They bay up right beside the trail we're on. I turn Clifford loose and he breaks. A few minutes later we hear him squealing. They ended up in a "cave" in a old tree trunk. Good little boar that went 110# on the scales. Birdie's off to a good start and looks like she'll make a good one.

Glad to hear it man! It seems like most of the response to it has been good, so I'm pretty pleased about that. Yeah well, that was a pretty good day as I recall. We even beat the weather that day!lol.

i posted on tx-outdoors...but it's good to see birdie in there pulling fur. i was telling matt when we went out last that birdie shows to be a fast little dog...and quick to boot. ought to be fun to see her mature out.
