Buying a dog can definitely be a indecisive and nervous situation. As with any product being sold, crooks are out there and looking to take advantage of the weak or weak minded...

I think most people you see with the posts you are talking about are young kids or newbies who really have no clue what a real hog dog is or one of value. People sell culls for $200 -$400 like it is nothing..

Do your due diligence, in the end you are the one turning the $$$ over and it is your fault if you get burned.

Everyone on this site has a profile, check them out. You can see every post and comment that member has made. Look for pictures, story's, credible evidence that this is a trustworthy person. Sometimes good people that don't post much do sell good dogs for certain reasons. Again this falls on you to do the right research and ask the right questions.

How do the littermates to this dog hunt? Parents? How long have you been hog hunting? How do you hunt? How successful are you? These are all questions to help you feel a person out and I would even go more in depth.

Pm me if you need assistance with finding people that actually do sell a few good dogs from time to time

hey man you gonna sell that red dog....I might be able to find room for him... Grin

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.  I WOULD SUGGEST BUYING AT LEAST ONE OR TWO FINISHED DOGS AND ONE STARTED DOG.  WHEN  YOUR GETTING STARTED YOU WANT TO HUNT AND CATCH PIGS NOT CHASE DOGS CHASING EVERYTHING BUT HOGS.  SPEND THE MONEY ON THE FRONT END BUY SOME FINISHED DOGS AND LET THEM TEACH YOU.  THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN RUNNING A HALF MILE TO A BAY TO FIND OUT THIS DOG YOU BOUGHT AINT TRASH BROKE AND HES CHEWING ON A COON WHEY YOU GET THERE.  GOOD LUCK.
