Don't post a lot of hunts and pics, but now that the weathers cooled down we've been trying to dodge the deer hunters and have been catching quite a few. Got a call last week from a rancher whom I haven't hunted for in a couple years. Got the old "eat up with hogs story" that I'm always a bit skeptical of. Anyhow, I rounded up a couple hunting partners and we arrived about dark. Long story short, we caught and killed 10 hogs in just over an hour and a half with the smallest being probably 150 pounds. Killed one huge sow that is currently being made into sausage at the processor. Most exciting part of the hunt was 8 out of 10 hogs were caught solely with dogs under a year and a half old including two of the three catchdogs we brought. Needless to say, the pups made us proud and earned another week of feed! My hunting partner brought four curs and I brought three....everything we had on the ground related. All the hogs didn't make a picture together, as we didn't feel like dragging them together. These three were killed pretty close. The action was fast, and some didn't make pics at all. Mother on the right, son on the left. Boulder will be a year old Jan 15th. He and his two littermates I recently started are doing really well for me and aren't afraid to cover some country.    Elvadeen is a Stover X Hines AB female and at just over a year old is making a hand.  This is from a different hunt, but a pretty good picture. Hunting partners catchdog Mack with one he ran down. Mack is a Zeus X Comet dog and can run like the wind.  |

Congrats on the young ones handling business. Good job. As for Rex, let him hunt it. He hunts them tiny dogs, and everyone knows they can't catch real hogs.  |
