Well at about 1 today I got a call from a buddy of mine Jake Locke who asked me how long it would take to get my dogs ready and I told him it would take about 20 minutes. We loaded up his dog Boss and my dog Hoss and my up and coming cd in the rain. Once we figured it wasn't going to get any drier we turned out in Ben Arnold and after 2 different place coming up dry we were wanting to get something so we headed out towards Milano. We got to the first place and he checked a portion of fence where the pigs had been crossing at that 3 days ago he smoothed the ground with his foot and set a stick against the bottom wire. Once there we saw the stick crushed into splinters and covered with tracks mostly smaller tracks and one big track. Walked through the woods and seen plenty of tracks but they were just passing through. After being pretty bummed out he said he had one more place to go to and we wouldn't even have to open up any gates so it sounded good to me. I followed him there, he let the tailgate down and we started walking the clay ground was pretty slippery and going down a steep creek bank the catchdog tugged a little too much and I rolled down to the bottom. With my pride battered a little I got up and heard a faint bark then once at the top of the creek we heard that is was boss. My little mountain cur Hoss came flying between us coming from the other end of the place, we started to make our way towards the bay and after I got fed up with the bulldog wanting to go right of a tree when I went left I turned him loose at about 50 yards. Quiet set in after letting the catchdog loose then I heard the bay about another 150 yards up which I can only guess that the catchdog busted the bay. When I was about at the bay it busted again so when we heard the bay a good ways off again we decided instead of walking to the bay we were going to double time it. Come to find out they were bayed up in a ravine and the catchdog was caught on the ear in about 2 foot deep water (which I said to myself it would have been a great action pic but no camera

) after admiring the picture perfect site we slip down legged and stuck the hog. The hog weighed about 175 lbs with 1 1/2 inch cutters and sorry folks no pictures we figured we were gonna get wet

so sadly we didn't bring our phones. We could have taken a picture of the dogs when we got back to the truck but by the time we got there it was pitch black dark.
