hell catch and tie, bay and shoot, bay and stick  there's no way of knowing if someone cheated or not as far as condition of the hogs . damn good liar can beat a polygraph . just have to rely on good ethics wich there ain't a whole lot of anymore . just pay ya money go have a good time and hope for the best . it should be all about the fun anyway and a cheater gets their just deserves eventually .

On the catch and tie do the hogs have to be brought in tied or can I bring them in just alive and in the trailer?  I guess my next question is how will you know I caught them with dogs vs just emptying a trap?  Catch and tie is not bad, the randy bumpers is done the same way I just always wondered how you could tell if they were dog caught or not.

Mike, rules will be finalised soon, but, Hogs should be brought in to the weigh-in lose in a trailer. Another BOD and myself will inspect every hog individuality as it is weighed.

POLYGRAPH, TDHA has one of the best polygraph men there is in the country. No one will ever beat the polygraph. Capt. Slator was an interrogator for Seal Team 6 in the middle east. Anyone who thinks they can beat the TDHA polygraph is a fool.

I would not enter any contest without a quality polygraph.

Well, I figured I bring it up. Hopefully next year the two organizations can get on the same page and have it on different weekends.

I was invited and already committed to hunting Los Cazadores several months back before any dates were known. Looks like I'll be heading west to where the big toothies roam.

Just about all of South Texas and the Hill Country is under high fence. Those fences don't mean anything to hogs... they go where they want to.

I don't catch n tie but the TDHA tournament has been the largest and most respected in my opinion. Id like to hunt the Los Cazadors but no lie detector makes it less creditable imo. Wish they would change that and look at other contest dates..

I do agree with Mike. Those high fences do not mean anything.

maybe if the united states legal system allowed lie detectors in as proof positive of innocence or guilt i  would have more faith in them . makes me wonder why they don't . maybe cause we teach our own opperatives how to beat them.  semper fie  upsher county hunt was advertised in bayed solid you can call the gimer area chamber of commerce for details or go to  www.hogwildex.org

I think the catch and tie is the best way to go. Will be alot less stressful on us and the TDHA.

i agree on the high fence dont make no difference except if you need to get on the other side because you can bet that the pigs know exactly where the holes are.

this is the one that Bayed Solid / Pig Man is Sponsoring in Pearsall, Tx ? Is this all the same thing?
I am trying to look it up, found this link http://loscazadores.net/main/index.php?news=3017 but all details are on deer hunt

Yes it is, pigman hosted it last year but didnt do so well. This year I expect quote the weigh in from the two and I'm sure barefoot bob will be bringing in some bruisers as well. My only complaint is I better see a lie detector test this year as the rules are loose and cut hogs on in high fenced places are aloud. That being said, I will be entering again this year but caught and tie ran me off from hunt for the hungry

We all decided to move the contest due to the heat. We were unaware of the the other contest and we apologize for the confusion. The date is set and will probably remain that date from this day forward but we are not the only one that makes that decision, Los Cazadores has final say obviously. I hope we have a huge turn out and we are working on more good stuff to do along with this contest. We hope to see you all there.

We got our butts kicked last year and weighed in some hogs that most people would have never showed up with! In this sport you have your good days and bad days as everyone one here that actually hunts knows!!! Lie detectors will be in place but as many people have said they can be beat too! We enter to have fun but have all intentions to win when we start and that is what keeps us hunting day to day is the thrill of the chase and the surprise that come as we approach every bay! Let's stick together and cherish this sport! Oh, by the way unfortunately Barefoot Bob will not be allowed this year due to huge complaints! Bad deal for ole Bob, don't know him and don't care but it's bad tha people are being banned. We are looking forward to a good ole hunt that everyone can enjoy. Good luck to all and hope to see everyone there!

Just my opinion guys, but I've sold a couple hogs to Bob and know people that know him.  This man's life has been centered around dog hunting.  Not just hogs either.  He has access to lots of land littered with hogs.  He knows how they travel, bed down, etc..

I heard there were complaints that his hogs did not look dogs caught.  He does not run 10 dogs on the ground or dump out a box full of dogs on every bay.  He hunts with one dog and a catch dog or a Stag.  Hell, I think his bulldogs will even take a hot track.  Bottom line is he is on the hog quick, ties it and moves onto the next.

I don't know the man as well as others, but having been to his home and his kennels, I saw or heard nothing that seemed to make him dishonest.
