I took the dogs out last night and since my main catch dog Bo is on the injured reserve from the big boar me and Trenton caught I took my AB/Dogo "PacMan".
I turned the dogs loose and walked to a spot where I put my new game camera to see if it had taken any pictures when the dogs starting getting jumpy.  I pulled the card and could tell LT was trying to line out a track so I let him work.  He made a few circles around the area and then made a bee line past me with Rita and Yella right behind him.  He got out about 300 yards when they started barking.  They chased this hog for about 200 yards or so in a creek when they finally got him stopped.  He stopped in a spot that I have caught a hog before and it is the nastiest spot to try and catch a hog.  I got close and they had him backed up against the creek bank so I turned PacMan loose.  He jumped in and caught like an old pro.  I got in and tried to leg the hog but the mud was so thick that my hands just slid off.  Went ahead and stabbed him because he was getting the best of my dogs.
All dogs were cut except PacMan but they're doing good this morning.  It was a good first hunt for PacMan and I was proud of all of my dogs.

Thanks Tony.  I was hoping the game camera got a picture of the hog because I couldn't get a good one.  The only reason I put the camera there was the signs that area showed of a good hog coming through.

That sounds a bit more like Joshs area of expertise, even with a Garmin and his dogs at our feet...  Grin

Your dogs and my dog baying while Molly was still at the fourwheelers, maybe that's why your garmin wouldn't register because she was too close.... Is that what you meant to say?  Being lost wasn't an issue, but I'm not even the guy with the new 320 and map card either, hmm...

We were refering to YOUR Garmin and YOUR dogs....

Your CATCH dogs were at our feet ( without a lead on and dogs baying everywhere ) so you could have just tracked them to find us....

But its probably a good thing that you werent there to see what your dogs were doing...
Just be glad Alans Go Pro was dead!!   Evil   Cheesy
