is there a cheap way to get rid of ants in my dogs pen. i have to move the pen alot or atleast the dogs from pen to pen to keep them from getting eat up by ants. if you guys know of any preferably cheap and good way of getting rid of them it would be much appreciated. thanks

pour some gas on the ant beds and light it on fire thats what my bro said dont know if it works or not

i use purex powder soap in the pens and  pour regular dawn 1tbs - gallon on the mounds
 theres my .02

I live in oklahoma and only have the big red and black ants but i sprayed engine degresser on the mound and nocked them out.. dont know if it will work for you but did for me

spray deisel around the pen. A stripe about ten inches wide about four feet away from the pen so the dogs won't be bothered by the fumes.

The organic answer with no side effects is called orange oil mix it with h2o and spray it on- in- and around the pins and the fire ants and all other bugs stay away works great my dad is into organic gardening and this keeps them out of his garden and flowers- i also put sulfer in there hay and around the pins and the ants never seem to come near my kennells despite popping up on the other side of the yard
