All you people that say rotts can't be a cd well I'm here to say that they can I got one that did great today! Today was his first time Ina pen/see a pig I put him in the pen and didn't even flench and took off for the pig and did work on it! I'm really ready to see how he does on a live hunt.

I once hunted with guy who had two rotts  as catch dogs they caught great till they got cut then they quit

the pig was about 50 pounds i know i know its small but thats all i could get a hold of and that is the first pig he ever saw and every time i try to upload a pic it says like its full or something!

the pig was 50 pounds i know it is small but all i had and his first pig so i think he will be alright as long as he is getting the concept and i cant upload pictures i dont know why it always says like the file is full!

Keep putting him on hogs in a pen and increase the size of the hog. You need to be sure he is gonna do his job before you head to the woods and get yourself in a bad situation.

day in and day out I wouldn't count on a rott but I have seen a few that hunted and caught. I would put my money on a proven pit.

I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ROTTS, BUT I HAD A GUINNEA THAT WOULD BAY WITH THE DOGS AT THE HOUSE, "BUTTCRACK BUTTCRACK BUTTCRACK" BUT I NEVER TOOK IT HUNTIN. MY OPINON IS THE WHEEL IS ALREADY INVENTED SO I JUST USE IT.

 Cheesy Everyone is going to promote the breed that they use, that works for them. I say, if you have a dog that is working the way that you want it to then use it.

 I don't think that having a certain breed of dog makes you a better hog hunter. I have more respect for a person who can get the job done with what they have.
