It has always been that way. It states and has stated that only coons are allowed bein sought after sun down but you can get permission from the game warden to chase them at night.

Game warden told me he didn't mind. He just said don't let me catch you with a gun. That was in 04 so I know its been that way for awhile.

I called a game warden earlier and he said they had a lot of land owners calling in and saying people has been trespassing! And then told me that if we have permits we can hunt them at night.

again if you are doing nothing wrong, you do not have to have a permit.no guns tho. i know a dog cant read humans can .stay away from places you cant hunt.but heres where that law comes in about having written permission to hunt where you are.they can and will issue citations if you dont ,and sounds like people will press charges on tresspassin. one of the reasons i dont hun t in my neck of the woods have to travel 180 miles to hunt big country

From all these answers i have figured this out...........NOBODY KNOWS THE RULES!!!!!!!!!! "My game wrden said this" or " my neighbour told me that" .I live in oklahoma and i hunt at night, period. The game warden in this county "creek county" is as useless as tits on a bull!!!!!!!!! i have called to find out the black and white rules on this and they are unclear,i have called to find out where to get a hauling permit for live hogs since i was told that now everything that comes out of the woods must be dead,he said he didnt know where i could get that permit. im sure they wont hesitate for a minute to write a ticket for hauling or hunting at night but when u try to remedy the problem they are no help at all,its like a big secret they can use against you til u screw up. So in the meantime could someone PLEEEEAAAAAAASE post a website or valid phone number for an extension where i can get the written LAW and find out the truth about hog hunting,i dont give a rats ass aboiut the coon hunting laws or whos game warden makes them bacon and eggs in the morning,I WANT THE COLD HARD FACTS!!!! Something that will hold up in a court of law!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKYOU,lets see how long this takes.

To hunt at night the land owner has to apply for a permit and if you ain't the owner your name has to be included on the permit
