Got a brindle gyp I let a buddy borrow that got knocked up, I know which two male dogs she was around, one is a blue heeler, that HATES a pig, and will bay his arse off, and is semi gritty. The other is a house pet Aussie. I dunno which one she tied up with, heck may have been both.

Question is do I raise em and see what happens or cull IMMEDIATLY?

I wouldn't fool with raising them.

You'll get attached to a bunch of pretty puppies that grow up into a bunch of "Russian Bear Dogs"- Rush around the corner and bare down on a biscuit  Cheesy

She'll probably have 15 puppies.  If I try and breed a gyp, she won't take or has just a couple of pups.  Now you get a gyp you don't care about or trying to not get bred, she'll have over a dozen and raise em all.  Aggravating for sure.

I don't know, I guess I'm a softy... but I'd keep em. I've seen muts that work great! Not all hunting dogs have to be out of "gamey" blood. The pros know their stuff, don't get me wrong... but I would try em if they show any promise early on. Even if they don't, they could make some little kids day for a pet. I'm personally not big on the normal way of "culling"... if they don't work and can go to a non-hunting home, I say why not???

ill cull an aggresive dog, due to the fact if i gave it away with my luck and it killed someone id end up facing punishment because i give the dog away knowing that it was aggresive! but a puppy let it live.. somebody could use it.

So you do not think that if they go to a non-hunting home that it takes that out of the equation?

I don't know about y'all, but I'm breeding and raising HOG DOGS... not pets.

There's enough strays, overrun shelters, pups being dumped on the streets, Wal-Mart parking lots full of free dogs out there every single day.

Were talking about misbreeding or an accidental breeding not raising up a bloodline of mutts...

who would breed mutts to have mutts NO ONE IN THE WORKING DOG CLASS but if a accident breeding happen you wouldnt give them to little kids or families that want a house pet?
