I have a 3 1/2 to 4 month old Cat gyp that I have questions about. I have talked to my friends about her and asked them if she is growing fast enough. They said she was and I believe them but I was curious if anyone else has had any Cats that did not grow so fast or were just small dogs. I did not see the parents of this pup but I took a chance. The dad was killed on a hog and the mom was suppose to be a decent size. For the price I figured that I would try her. I was wishing that she would be leggy but it doesn't seem like she will be. She weighs 18lbs and compared to my Yella dog in the picture who is 7 months old she seems small. Look at the pics and I would appreciate any feedback. I know that she could just be a small dog but I don't know. I also understand that slow growth for a pup is not a bad thing. She is on Diamond all stages food.

Looks fine to me. I haven't raised a lot of cats, but I've had my fair share of pups. She looks to be healthy. I have two male cat crosses that aren't growing the quickest either, so maybe its a cat thing. (just an idea)

I haven't had much experience with cats so take it for what its worth. But is there anyway that she might not be full cat? Because if I just looked at her not knowing what she was I would guess she is a blue heeler or at least has some heeler in her.

x2.... If you didn't see the parents then I would have to agree with the above post...the first pic looks like a heeler head and the ear set also.

Well I was waiting for someone to say that. I had thought that for some time now but didn't want to believe it. I guess I should decide something pretty quick.

Don't cut yourself short just yet man... a lot of dogs don't start turning it on until way later. If she isn't, as Noah says, squirrelly, then I would wait. She looks good, and might make a dog. But that’s JMO… LOL! Some cow dogs hate hogs too!  Grin

I was thinking the same thing...don't look like she will get much bigger than a heeler...and she looks quite a bit like a heeler...
