I am thinking about breeding my Bluetick to either a bmc or a catahoula. I would like to see pics of either if any of u use them or have pics of any... And i would like to know whick u would choose to breed between the bmc and cat and why..?

the bluetick gyp [ momma ] was tight mouthed . the pups haven't opened on any mock hunts only time will tell but i've had good luck on my hound crosses they have remained silent unless the hog breaks then they will run open [ from excitement ] and they may open on a strike and then shut up . but i have yet had one cold trail a hog like a coon hound . run the pups with silent dogs when starting out and they usually will be silent as well . me personally being an ol hound man i don't care if they open or not . i love listening to a good race .

The bluetick im breeding is open but not bad.. Like she wont run step for step on a hot track and just bawl away the whole time, but she will let out a little bark on a very hot trail but not consistanly. She goes about 100yrds invetween each trail bark before she opens up again, but when she trail barks the pigs aint very far away and she is gonna be bayed soon!!

JMO but i would rather breed it to a dog that is proven, why waste time and money on just breeding to a certain "breed"
