Way to go!!! I'm so glad to hear that a dogger beat out that dang heli... I'm not big on those heli hunts becase they just leave all the pigs where they fall. So many people could use that meat, and to see it all go to wait is really agravating!!! Keep up the great work men!

Congrats on the win!

What all methods of catching hogs were allowed?

I assume if helicopters were allowed, then did they also allow trapping, bow, rifle, and dogs?

From what I remember reading when I bought my HL this year. It was open to all counties in Texas, and open to any legal means of harvesting hogs. So all the above would be allowed.

Yes Chris, it was open to any legal means and anyone who wanted who could provide notarized results, have reasonable proof of their claims and submit to a supervised lie detector test upon the necessity to do so. They hunted their butts off over the last several months. We are all excited to see the results from the rest of the state. I had someone in central TX question me because i dont post many pics on here. I politely declined the weenie measuring contest but after things turned mor cordial we flipped thru my phone pics of the hogs we took pics of and i guess my credentials were verified.  Cheesy

I hope nobody gets upset or angry over this, its jst a congrats to a hard working group of guys.

T-Bob,

I can't imagine why anyone would get upset over this thread.

I think it is great that a 100% dog team won over other methods. Especially something that is noticed by state officials. It might get the state to realize how effective hog dogging really is.  I assume by the original post that all of the hogs y'all entered were dog caught.  I think 175 hogs a year is a lot, I can't imagine catching that many in a 3 month period.  Kudos to the guys that won.
