Smiley  Thank god for the rain. We rolled out last night on a spur of the moment hunt up in Huntsville , got there about 6:30 pm and turned out by 7:00 we had 3 different bays going and 3 hogs tied. Two real nice sows and a little shoat. What a great evening. Been working so much Ive had no time to go play. Gave one hog to my friend , stopped by my nephews and dropped him the shoat off and was happy to be off with my sow who was tied , and tied to the dog kennel. Gonna cook her for everyone at the drilling rig, anyway going down the highway at about midnight atleast, driving about seventy, tired , had my two boys in the truck, still driving right out of new waverly and all the sudden I here this loud bang on side of my truck , the stinking sow has bailed out of the back of the truck broke the lead tied to the kennel, (thank God) In her last attempt to be free lands in the middle of the highway still tied all four feet. What did i do , the same as all great white hunters , turned that truck around and drove back to her, jumped out and bowed up on her loaded her up and tied her down so good it took two knives and a pair of bolt cutters to get her loose when I got home. Now she is resting in my cooler. On a serious note I was lucky there were no cars on the highway and my kennel was strapped down or she would have jerked it and two dogs out of the truck. I just hope she dont jump out the bbq pit on sunday, whew.
