They can only be trapped during the open time period.  Friday Night till Sunday Morning.
Well we would hope that someone wouldn't cheat at a Church Sponsored Hog Hunt so if they do shame on them.
Last year most everyone that entered just used dogs.  We had a few church members that hunted and just spotlighted but they didn't win anything.  In Rodeo we would call those folks "Added Money" Smiley

I know the weather was bad but we still had a pretty good turnout.  Overall there were more hogs brought in this year than last year.  Heaviest 5 weighed in at 962 lbs narrowly edging out the 2nd place team of Fatboy Outfitters that had 959.  The Stanky Boys brought home 3rd place with 700+.
Heaviest hog was 238#s.
Longest tusk was 3.5 inches
Biggest stringer was 22 I think.

Thanks to you all.

Them pigs were fun to catch in that rain...actually not so much. After all mornin of hunting starting about 7 with no luck the dogs( taylor reeves's dogs to be exact) struck up that big  whit one that won the big teeth at 2 o clock. After that it was 45 min of complete chaos  we had four hogs with the smallest bein about 175 tied and on the ground. Bay to bay to bay we were some tired sob' s after it was all said and done. The fifth hog was caught about 4 a.m. after a long stretch of getting something to eat and hitting there final spot. I wasnt there for the fifth one but i heard it was a lot of work to find him after all the creeks flooded and the rain. It all comes back to the fact of the matter is with some good dogs a lot of hard work patience and determination that when you have the swine flue as bad as we do anything is possible rain and all!! Congragulations to taylor reeve,s shane mcveay, calvin and colin to a heck of a day of hog hunting with a win of the big teeth and top five stringer.
