I get everything microchipped on my yard. I have gotten 2 dogs back because of it. They were picked up and brought to the pound. The pound said the dogs were dropped off without any collars on them. When I turned them loose they had collars with name tags and tracking collars. Anyway the chips did help me get my dogs back

Most vets, shelters, and rescue groups can do the microchips now. As far as tracking them you can't call them up and pin point the dogs exact location, but if someone does pick up your dog for some reason, then they take them to a facility to get them checked for a chip. The facility will scan the dog for a chip and their scanner will get the chips number and they can put it into a database and it'll pull up all the contact info that's been registered with that chip number.

I get them free and I dont do mine...its permanent and when you sell a dog or give one away....it can still come back to you as the owner.

They can only be found if they're scanned by the pound or animal shelter some pounds don't have the special scanner that finds the chips

Lol i sure do lose a lot of money in this business but i guess low feed bills make up for it. only thing left that I'll sell is a puppy trainer unless one of my hound crosses decides they're going to open up on a cold trail! popoAll the others are gone and the yard sure is quiet until its time to load up or feed Grin my question is On the micro chip how much info does it hold? I know it holds name an number, anything else??

It'll hold name, 2 phone numbers, and an address. But like they said above if you sell a dog with your info and the new owner doesn't switch it over to their info. Then whenever some idiot pulls a Claude ard and sells an $800 cull that was originally yours, and still has your chip in it with your info on it, you might have some angry ppl showing up at your house. So you night want to make sure your gonna keep the dog before you do it. Or it'll end up more hassle then its worth.

U can buy the scanner and implants and do your own, the scanner can be used with a antena to about 200 feet, so u can drive by a kennel and see whose dogs are on the yard, you can also change the info on the chip to your name or too jr samples  br549, just send in the money and utube has the boost mod..
