Tracker came very close to getting in a fight last night with a pretty big coon but I stopped him before he got to close! Question is who do you think woulda won? I've seen some coons tear up some pretty big hounds so do you think a 42 lbs lacy could have killed a 20 lbs coon?

Hounds are pansies! I've never seen any cur over 6-7 months old have any trouble handling a coon. I think the lacy woulda won hands down

Coons are tough but dont know that ive ever seen one just flat whip a hound. they might escape temporarily but if they were just out and out fighting....where the coon couldnt get away...my money is on the hound, no matter the breed.

older man i hunt with tells a story about his dog treeing in a deep swamp an when they squalled the coon out he got on the dogs head an had him by the ears drowning him he said he had to swim out there an grab the dogs tail an beat that coon off with a dog chain ... said when they got to the bank that ol dog looked at him like to hell with that coon lol

My female will flat wear one out she don't kill but works them like a hog it trys to run she will grab a bite then bay lol. Lacy would win if you let it go that long. Most I have seen don't go for a death grip like some curs but will work and tear it to death

" Hounds are pansies! " Come on man really! T-Bob sounds like I really need to hurry up and get you some July - HOUNDS and teach you a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. A year from now you will be singing a different tune. Your dog would have been able to handle that coon, if not you need different dogs lol!

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat. RAdm. "Jay" R. Stark, USN; 10 November 1995
