Just purchased me a pair of catahoula glass eyed red leppard gyps. i really like the looks of them and the all around breed. i prefer them to loose bay and leave the catching to the catch dog, short to medium range.. i will post some pictures when i get them home. If youve got any catahoula pictures please post them! and let me know how you like them

Dont know if its in your plans or not, or if you are familiar with catahoulas, but I wouldnt breed 2 glass eyed dogs together. You run the risk of deafness, blindness, and potential internal problems.

Here's Butch..... Close range, very hot nosed and bays super tight. His face is the proof. This is a one eared barr in Albany that put the beauty marks on his face. I haven't seen too many loose Catahoulas either.

thats what I like to hear, I get lots of calls where people only consider eye & coat color when buying a dog not working ability. Sometimes your best cross could be 2 dogs that are double glass eyed. You just have to be willing to handle the consequences of making that cross. I see people offering deaf/blind pups for free or a discount and that just irks me to no end.

They are both females, i am not sure on theyre registry or breeding. i will call the breeder tonight and ask... they are beautiful young dogs. one of them i was told is a loose bayer and the other will catch with the catch dog. BUTCH looks like a spitting image of my lighter colored gyp
