Good to know.  Why do people say to wait till a year to use bulldogs due to teeth? Time to strenghten teeth or something?

A pup generally looses there teeth around 4-5 month wish as the permanent teeth are coming in.

Its not a bad idea to wait if you can to make sure you don't get any pulled out and to make sure they are set good.

My pops use to raise pits years ago. I was telling him about you situation. He said that if you wait till your pup gets a little older so he's done growing if you really want to spend the money some vet. dental surgens will implant fake stainless steel k9s in.  He said get ready to pony up some cash though.

If he's as rough as you say he is then the K9's are going to do nothing but cause chewed up hogs.  There's nothing I hate worse than walking up to a hog and having a hole chewed in one.  People cull for that but I haven't yet.  If the K9's are out or clipped, the dog will slip off and won't be able to chew on a hog nearly so bad.

I know it won't bother him.  No need to worry about infection or pain.    My border collie bit the chainsaw when it was running lost all his k-9's.  I have had the vet look at it and said everthing was fine.  That was 5 years ago when it happend and it has never bothered him.

Keep him in the woods. He should be alright.
