I bought 5 heavy duty tuff skin antennas from Double U last week .....I put one on an rolled to the woods put 2 dc30 on Stray .....this day it was raining and cloudy saw Lil to no difference in open pasture but when I sent him in thick cover never lost signal with tuff skin an couldn't keep a signal with original .....today I did a long range test ....put my long range telescope antenna on hand held 4 tuff skins an 1 original open pasture and crop land got 2.02 miles out of all 5 antennas .....so far the tuff skins look like they work better in thick cover ....I'll be hunting all woods this weekend an I'll see how it goes

Double U ...thanks these look like they can take an A$$ Kickin

We just put the new tuff skin antennas on our DC 30s and 40s and a flexible long range antenna on the 220 and it made a world of difference on the range. Picked up two dogs at 1.9 miles, one wearing a 30 and the other a 40 so not much difference there. That is almost a mile further than what I was seeing with the stock antennas. Definitly worth the money!

Does anyone know if it would help or hurt by putting a dc40 tuff skin antenna on a dc30? From what I can tell the only difference is the 40s are slightly longer. Or would it even make a difference?
