Took the gf out today for her first time. She was game for a while, didn't complain having to walk. And, you know, today had to be the day we got on a big runner. 6 or so miles. The dogs shut it down, and we got to it, stuck it, and drug it out. Unfortunately, the women dropped out of the race and went back to the truck so she didn't get to see the bay, the one part I was counting on for her to feel like the walking was worthwhile. I don't think she will be back... But, on the plus side, my 9 year old boy stuck it out all the way through.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat. RAdm. "Jay" R. Stark, USN; 10 November 1995

Ive been married almost 14 years and hog hunting has almost caused me to get divorced two times. She never understood why I had to have so many dogs! Or why it was so addictive. She was always wanting me to sell the dogs and concentrate more on roping. She had went with me before but always stayed at the four wheelers with the kids. About a month before last deer season started, I took her and left the kids at their grandmaws and we caught a big sow. She went in and helped me throw and tie it. Since then shes been hooked. Now shes saying things like, we need to get another strike dog, we need more tracking collars, we need to buy some more vest and cut collars, we need to get a new 4 seater ranger. I wish I would have done this along time ago. Now Im getting on to her because Ive got alot of money invested in her barrel racing, Aluminum trailer, saddles and tack, several horses, and their getting neglected. If you can make it to where she dosent have to do so much walking youll have better luck.

Dont think she liked it to much but that long run was worth it. Maybe next time we will tie one up 20 yards from the truck. lol

Somebody needs to take me to where the dogs can run for 6-8 miles and you can still go there without trespassing. No places like that around here. My wife just had our first son named Hunter, maybe once she gets ready to head out again she can meet up with other hog hunter wifes and it'l benefit both our situations.
