I read on here a while back about someone being a dealer just to get the food cheaper for personal use. Can't seem to find the post. Any of you done this with Sportsmix? If so whats the cost per bag? How much do you have to order at a time? Whats the shelf life?

If you do sell it and want to pm this info I would greatly appreciate it. Im not looking to sell it just feed my mutts and if I can save a few bucks by buying in bulk I'm in. I am going thru 2 1/2 to 3 bags a week. Adds up quick.

Thanks

if you deal it they will come... Smiley

If you get the liscense to deal in sportsmix or Victor I will go in with you...you might be approved if they like how many bags you will buy per month...just thinking...

Made a call to Sportsmix. Waiting on the sales rep to return my call. I will let you know what I find out.

I tried to do the same thing but the sales rep (sportmix) told me I had to have a retail location that is open during normal business hours in order to buy from them.

that is correct if you want to buy direct from the sorce .  all you need is a state id  [ tax number ] and you can buy from a wholesale feed distibutor . to buy direct from sportmix or any other mill you have to buy too much at a time and sell so much a month to keep the dealership it;s hard to do . but if you get it worked out expect to save about five 5 bucks a bag thats the normal mark up on dog feed . when i did it i registered it as a kennel and feed and got the tax number from the county clerks office . REMEMBER you have to PAY TAX wether you sell it or not . and when you register a kennel you have to charge tax when you sell a dog or pup . if you get you some buddy's to go in with you to buy the feed good deal just BE SURE and keep your paper work up to date and current on your TAXES .
