If anything shouldn't be discussed maybe it should be people talking bout catching a hog and it sawed down their catch dogs or strike dog like it is everyday on here. What's the prob with talking bout a dog trailing traps I'm lost

what's the fuss boy's i'm very discrete about posting . but using a treble drag hook attatched to a leg hold trap is a common practice for catching yotes and a trapline dog is used to make it easy to locate said trap and yote to humanely dispatch them . i don't know but one thing is sure we can't or shouldn't be silenced about everything. graphic images and bragging about this and that is one thing but a discussion about techniques i have no problem with , as long as they are legal and as humane as possible . to the anti idiots the meer posting of a child hugging a puppy is enough to get them in an uproar . but hell i've been wrong before  lol

A 22 handles trap running real nice. A thick tree branch works in a pinch too. Grin

It's not about killing the animals but more about watching 2 good animals tango!

Get you another lacy

Really thought about this but honestly I really dont wanna spend much on a dog
To fight some critters for fun!

The fightin critters for "fun" and the "watchin 2 good animals tango" can and will be used against hunters is my reasoning for posting. Sayin this is no different then people talkin abt catchin hogs in a pen, its the same concept and will be looked down upon all the same!

Look im not talking down on anyone for doing it, nor do I care if it is done but I don't think a public board that I can 100% guarantee you itls bein watched by animals rights people is the place to talk about it.

I was tryin to give a friendly heads up but apparently it ain't seen that way, say what you want to but when it bites you in the ass don't say you weren't warned.

Cajunhuntin, i'm not directing this at you or trying to degrade you in any way. I am simply answering cdc005's comments. No ill intent directed at you.

A jagd is perfect for the job. Small enough to ride shotgun and will bark at anything and try to kill almost anything. I'm also in La. If you get serious about one send me a PM
