Have a nice gyp that a boy gave me,Got her right back tendin cut and now drags her toes he did not have the money to fix her,She will walk and run on it but her toes drag and she has drug off her toe nails,It hapend a few weeks ago is it to late for surgery?Thanks

take her to the vet and they should be able to fix it but she will never be the same dog. a guy i know has a strike dog that got his tendin cut and he went to the vet and fixed it but he always favors that leg. but he will still get out and hunt but it is hard on him to make a long hunt.

Take the dog to the vet in Coldspring... she'll fix her up and it won't cost a bunch. She's been working on hog dogs for over 20 years.

Get it fixed..If not you will end up amputating the leg because it will wear down all the way to the bone. The vet in coldspring said she could do it on my buddies dog but it went to long and had to be amputated.

.02 worst case scenario i have hunted with a damn good 3 legged dog he had both back legs though
