Why would you have to cross them? I am not coming down on YOU as individual there are alot of people that think you are adding ingredients like making a casserole add a little BMC, a teaspoon of Trigg, and some JRT and walla bake 63 days and the Best hog machine ever made.
Problem is going to sell puppies and wait till dog is 4-5 years old to decide if its the best dog ever.?
IF PLotts are So awesome why add anything? why not just breed better plotts?
If the Jagds are so driven with such great noses and so good at stopping and catching hogs why add anything else?
Plotts and Jagds are OPEN trailing dogs. what are chances at two years old half the pups are going to be open? Why not just start with Gritty plotts and leave out the hyper Jagds? If you want smaller dogs just get full jagds and leave out the Plott,
That Cross does not Sound anything Legit to me, But I dont know anything about dogs.

Ugly, You make a great point. My cross is a project, I hunt 3 plotts, a black and tan and a half pit/ half plott running catch dog. I have a gyp that is a 1/4 pit, 1/4 plott, and 1/2 mnt cur. She is my house dog and her parents are proven dogs, I am breeding her once before she gets fixed to my best plott male. I want to try the pups and all of them are spoken for. But I agree with you 100% i deffinately want better plotts. I am just trying this cross. swish
