Those were cruel times then. People think they have it bad nowadays, myself included, but some of this pictures will put in perspective just how great a country the USA was and is.

 Thank you to all of the courageous Americans who fought, and to those who gave their lives in WWII to protect our liberty and freedom. Including my great uncle Frank Hasson (good ol East Texas county boy from Nome Texas), who was killed by enemy fire shortly after landing on the shores of Layte Island, Oct. 20, 1944.
