If anyone is missing this dog let me know.  A buddy of mine is bringing the dog to me tomorrow and the dog will be hunted until someone claims the dog.  Just shoot me a discreption of the dog but until then the dog will be well taken care of.

Well, a shot in the dark I guess, lost a gyp east of Hillsboro, Hillsboro is North of Waco. Anyway. Gyp, Blue Leopard, Red Trim. Left eye is slightly cracked. Half Walker, you can see it in her muzzle and ears. Had a black collar w/orange straps when I lost her.

Hunt her, if she finds pigs, i bet she was mine! She wandered your way from Alabama. Good luck with her or finding who she belongs to. Seriously, could be the reward dog! Thieves may have let her loose after the heat got turned up on em

Might be me, but when i had similar lost dog type deals like this the last thing i would do would be to hunt somebody eles dog that got lost, first the dog is not yours, second what are you going to do if you lose this dog or get it killed and the real owner shows up to get his dog that is dead and says hay, I paid $800 for that dog and instead of you chaining it up you decided to hunt it because you have possession of it and lost it again or got it killed or tore up by hog, its not your dog, also I have problems with the not posting a picture of the dog so somebody might recongize it, in this day and age of the cell phone and digital camera 99 cent of dog hunters habe pictures of there dogs.  I would go take a picture of the dog asap and post it up on here, somebody will prob know it, if not, its yours, this post made me think of all of the lost dogs and searching dog owners who never give up hunting for lost dogs.  Try harder to find it first for like 30 days and dont hunt it, its not your dog, its your dog to do a better job of finding the owner all out instead of holding back sounding like you are taking advantage.  it is what is is..........I cant help saying it, sorry for being devils advocate and i hope you find the dogs rightdfull master....

first off you don't know Me so no problem on your thought. The reason for not posting pictures is for for people maybe like yourself! Wink. If you own the dog you should be able to tell me what he looks like. Second, I wouldn't hunt someone elses dog till I knew there wasn't an owner. Third if I did want to hunt the dog that shouldn't be an issue at all. He could be starving on the street or he could have a bullet hole in his ear after chasing cows when I found him but he doesn't. He has a warm place to stay and good food in his bowl.

On another note I'm sure no one is going to claim him even though he looks great because he is blind but
if you like to come get your dog I'd be happy to give him to you if no one claims him.

I would never put a picture of a found dog. How else are you going to know if they are telling the truth. As far as a collar with a plate you don't know the situation. Maybe it did have a collar and when someone tried to steal it they took it off. I have one dog that I keep putting collars on and they disappear with her still in the yard and I have not found one of them. So maybe they did put a collar on the dog.

You find a dog you should do your best to get the dog back to the owner because it is not your dog. I would say posting on here the location is a good thing to do. Anybody can look on here without even joining and if they need to they can join and send a PM. But if no owner comes forward should you just lock it up in a kennel or should you hunt it? You make the call.

I think what rat was saying is the owner should have a pic of thier own of the dog on their phone or camera to prove to Brian they were not just looking at a pic Brian posted. On Brian's original post, he stated he was going to hunt the dog.  I actually perceived Brian was going to immediately start hunting the dog.  I must admit if that was the case, I would have sided with Rat.  In Florida we often hunt state land. About once a year I hear of someone getting a dog stollen during hunting season. After our management areas close for the year (generally March), the thieving daddy didn't marry mommys keep the tracking collars they stole, but dump the dogs so they won't have to feed them until cooler hunting conditions. The next year, these types do it all over again. Freaking low-lifes.  If at first glance someone did not know that now stray had been stolen, they would think the owner did not take proper precautions for thier dog. In those cases, that is the furthest thing from the truth. Also, let's say my dog was stolen while wearing a tracking collar in October. Now, it's March. At this point I would have pretty much given up all hope of ever recovering my stolen dog. I wouldn't even know how far he could be in that kinda time with all the dog peddlers today. However, if I saw a pic of my dog, whether in Florida or California, I could provide all the pics the "finder" needed as proof.  I guess what I'm saying is when we assume, it often clouds our judgement. As I said, on Brian's original post, I assumed he was implying that he was beginning to hunt the dog. After Brian's later statement, I realized I misinterpreted the post. I like Brian, and believe he is a stand up guy.  Hope a different point of view sheds new light. I also hope the real owner comes forward soon. Good luck to everyone involved.  Smiley

Josh, we know Florida is screwed up!  I was just playing about hunting the dog in the original post and I thought people would know what I meant.
