Well me and Rickey drop the dogs at 7.30 am.  We hunt for a good two hours noting.  The dogs with us are Whitey, Horn, Bell, Penny and Rickey two dogs Fred and Yellow Boy .  Well Rickey says look at that White bitch way across the coastal feild about 1000 yds Running the creek line that runs part of the way to the River then its a mad dash about 500 yds across another coastal feild to the main gulley that will finish taking you to the river.  Rick said she is following a bunch of hogs you wait and see.  Well sure nuff about five mins goes by look at the Garmin says Whitey treed 950 yds due north right towards were the gulley comes out .  We make our way get almost there and hogs bust out everywere we are chasing the one Bell , Fred . Horn, Penny are behind he makes the mad 500 yd dash to the River Gulley and the dogs right on him at about 40 yds before the gulley I turn Bo the catch dog loose and he is a caught hog about the time he hit the bottom of the gulley 100-125 lb little boar that could fly.  Tie him .  Dogs are on some more 750 across  the River gulley on some more proptery we cant hardly get to ,  we wait then they move , we then go another direction trying to get to them still cant.  Now they are running back towards the highway so we go to the proptery line cant go no futher with out permission .  So now we got to go all the way back to the truck and go out the gate and go mile down the road to the house get there gate locked nobody home so we go on down thw road to were we can hear the dogs they are 950 yds at the back of that mans proptery bayed down hard .  We wait an wait  Iam steady calling finally the man anwsers about 3 hrs later the dogs are still bayed he says sure Jim go on back there so we go and go finally get there and they were in a tank big stock pond and the hog is almost drowned noting we could do but watch finally they drown him I guess he weight between 150 - 200 he was tuck in the middle and never moved ,
WHat a day now I look up and its 2 om we load the dogs and get the hell out of there.  On the way out the man invited me to come back and hunt his proptery which was a great thing lots of hogs there.  Lot at my Mileage on my meter on the wheeler we went 30.1 miles today on the wheelers.

Whitey and Horn

My buddy Rickey took me on my first hog hunt with dogs back in the early 80's still going strong.

Good hunt Jim, me and a bud was out that late Saturday to...Except we had 5 dogs and 3 different tracks going and ended up not getting any of em.. I'm sure thinking of going ruff. I'm getting tired of all this running and miles and miles of trying to head em off....

Yeah boy that running sure does get old .  Might get you a real ruff nut snatcher to run with your other dogs maybe slow them down a bit till yall can get there.  We would have had a bunch more hogs today but the dogs got off on that one they drown and we spent three hours tryin to get a holt of the man that owned the land all the time they were bayed .
