It wasn't the teeth nor the bite that got me.. I'm more scared of a nose than I am any of the above. Lol you tough guys go-head. I can watch it from the outside of the pen or trailer and I'll be the first to admit. Ima chicken poop now.

Can we use a board or no?  I wasn't in it, but I know one or two members here entered the tough man at callaways last weekend, Chris+Paula caught it barehanded.

There is a reason why I got bulldogs. Cus I'm scared to death of a hog! Ill still catch em just as long as there is a pit bull or two hangin off its face!

I free tip hogs in the woods alot of times and I've latched on to some big boys that's tossed me like rag dolls.  I think I'll be on the judging panel on this one.

Besides if you're a smaller guy, you'll get better ratings then the wannabe Brock Lesners on here.

That cut didn't have nothin on the ol boy in Florida that threw that Barr in the ditch and it got back and cut his face and head.  I don't remember the tread but I'm sure the pictures are floating around somewhere.  It was bad.

I heard that all it takes is a toss of a hat if you are tough enough. I would not call it tough to jump in the pen to catch a pig. It is more a way to just increase the risk of loosing a leg or worse. Did you see the thread of the small cut from a pig in a pen. It was not the cut but the nasty stuff that got in the cut. Who is going to pay for the hospital or the rent and bills while they heal in the hospital. Do it if you want but not because someone told you too. But to me the only thing worse than getting gashed by a hog would be to not have it on video Grin If the day comes that a pig gets me I hope someone gets it on video. That way I can make the rounds on the talk shows to make extra money while I can't work Grin Plus it would make a nice video to show the family at Christmas time Grin

A local old timer once told me that he remembered when his daddy would get in a pen and separate wild hogs just like they were cattle. Huh?   I asked him how the heck did they keep from getting cut or bit. He told me that they would take something like a paint can lid and nail it to a board and when a big hog would run at them, they would hold the paint can lid in front of them and the hog would hit it and them run off.

I told him that, that little piece of info would probably lead to me getting hurt one day.  Cheesy  Ive never had the nerve to try it.

Down here when we set up all of the self trapping hog doors in the old cow pens we ran into this over and over, you have to have thick pair of leggings and a fence you can climb  and some kind of a swing gate ir else you are going to just waste time and er money proving you are a idiot to put your life in danger over a $30 hog that just hit a artery on a drive  by charge.  Better to be a wussy guy with chaps and a swing gate than cut down by a hog with teeth full of caca and mud to win the tuff guy challagelol  I saw those pixs of that cut on here ewwwww!!!!!  We also let every dog out of the kennel to bark thru the pen fence to distractt them to try to grab or rope or let a cur dog grab the one we wanted, good way to get hurt bad so quick its not funny especially if you have 30 in a pen with some real wild outfits hitting the top of the fence as they miss you!!!
